The initialize program will set THE PROGRADE SYSTEM to save your
data periodically. Additionally, the program will save your data
before you switch files or end the program. You may also save the
file at any time using the SAVE function (type S in the
ASSIGNMENT.GRADE entry area). It is suggested that you keep 2 data
disks, one for EXTRA copies. You can save the file onto as many
disks as you wish by simply changing formatted disks before saving.
MAKING EXTRA COPIES OF GRADE FILES can be done in another way. You
may use DOS to copy the grade files from one disk to another. (see
your DOS manual) When you leave PROGRADE, you will be asked to
save an extra copy of your grade files; the EXTRA copies will
have the extension .EXT . For example, FRIQ290 would be stored as
FRIQ290.EXT. See the manual for more information.
TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER CLASS, simply access any student's record and
type G in the ASSIGNMENT.GRADE entry area. The current grade file
will automatically be saved and you will be prompted to provide the
file name that you wish to get or create. To see the names of the
files that are currently on the data disk, simply type L in the
ASSIGNMENT.GRADE entry area.
